Contribution rules:

• Contribution limit is $8,325. A couple may contribute up to $16,650 on a joint account.

• Contributions can only be accepted from a United States citizen or a Green Card Holder who has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence.

• Contributions by corporations, federal contractors, national banks, and foreign nationals who are not Green Card Holders are prohibited.

• Reimbursement of any funds from another person or entity for the purposes of making this contribution is prohibited.

• Contributions to Terence Mekoski for Macomb County Sheriff are not deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.

DONATIONS BY CHECK:

• No corporate checks or cash, please.

• A contribution that does not exceed the contribution limit written on a check drawn on a joint bank account will be attributed to the person who signs the check. A contribution that does exceed the contribution limit will be divided equally between both joint bank account holders.
